Living in the Light

It's not just the working world that's creative in the West, we keep life outside of the office pretty interesting too. From spring picnics in the Cotswolds to summers in St Ives, autumn leaves at Westonbirt and winter log fires in proper pubs.

With 630 miles of coastal walks, over 750 square miles of moors (green stuff), more than 27,000 acres of woodland and the best surf beaches in the country, we're a fairly outdoor loving region and it's impossible NOT to get that work / life balance thing going on.

It's fairly rare to be stuck for something to do on a Sunday with kite flying, paragliding, fossil hunting, pot holing, cheese making, paper making, hill walking, abseiling, apple picking, motor racing or simply messing about on the river.

If it's the blue stuff that floats your boat, you can canoe, wind surf, kite surf, body board, or charter a luxury yacht after a busy week, and just get off the world for a bit.

And if THAT's not enough and you're really after the Holy Grail, you've even got more chance of finding that here.
